National Volunteer Week 20-26 May 2024

Established in 1989, National Volunteer Week is the premier celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia. Each year, this special event provides an opportunity to highlight the important role of volunteers in our community. This week enables our organisation to thank our volunteers and help increase awareness of the vital role volunteers play in our lives.

SAcommunity would like to thank our Volunteers for all their work towards supporting our program, community service organisations and the South Australian community, our interns, and internship program, and each other, towards a positive work and learning experience. We thank everyone working both onsite and remotely for their contribution everyday, including those who aren't pictured here, we appreciate everything you do with us.

SAcommunity Volunteers & Interns we thank you for your contribution to the service, we have increased our team from 36 volunteers and interns over 2022-2023 and 4,788 hours to 48 volunteers and interns over 2023-2024 with 7,290 hours for the SAcommunity service.

Well done to everyone, and particularly those who have been supporting each other with capacity building - particularly our long-term volunteers who have provided the much-needed sustainable structure to document and create training materials and videos, download and check data, teach and demonstrate, respond, edit, emails and update records, and generally keep the team on track.

We couldn't continue the program without you.
