What: Making History 2 1/2 day workshop
When: 2nd - 4th November
Fri 1.30pm - 5.30pm; Sat 9.30am - 4.30pm; Sun 10am - 4pm (times may change)
Where: History Trust of South Australia, Torrens Parade Ground, Victoria Drive, Adelaide
Who: History groups, museum groups, collecting organisations, interested students, volunteers and community members
Cost: Early bird (closes 2 Oct) $100 / concession $90 Register here
Bursaries are available for regional participants ask for an application form
 

Trimper Downs Open Garden 3rd & 4th Nov 2018

What:  “Trimper Downs” Open Garden
When: 10am - 4pm Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th November 2018
Where: 27 Downers Road, Oakbank
Cost: $10 entry per person, includes a ticket for a free cup of tea or coffee or cold drink.
Children under 16 free.
Why: A fundraiser for the 2021 World Rose Convention in Adelaide

Unley Gardeners' Plant Rescue
Unley Gardeners Plant Rescue is a dedicated group of women who have been together since February 2003.
 

What do you do?
Our main aim is to collect unwanted plants from people who are changing or downsizing their gardens, moving house, or sadly are having to move from their much loved home and garden into residential care.

What: Biennial Barossa Rose and Flower Show
When: 27th & 28th October 2018
Sat 12am - 5pm, Sun  10am - 4pm
Where: St Paul’s Church, Corner Murray St & Basedow Rd Tanunda, SA 5352
Fees: $5.00, Children 15 & under Free.

Light Lunch & Afternoon Tea available for purchase supplied by the St Paul’s Ladies Guild.

Profits donated to EPIC Charitable Trust to aid drought affected farmers on Eyre Peninsula

Where: Soldiers Memorial Hall, Tumby Bay
Tickets $20, School age children $5
Features: Guest Performers
Tumby Bay Lions Club BBQ at 12noon and 6.30pm

The GovHack SA State Awards Night - celebrating our state's winning teams


The SAcommunity team attended the GovHack State Awards Night yesterday on the 10th October 5.30pm - 9pm at the North Adelaide Community Centre to celebrate the state winners for the GovHack open data competition and discover more about how the SAcommunity open dataset was used by competitors.
