Australian Red Cross celebrates Lyndoch fundraising group

The Australian Red Cross - Lyndoch Group is one of many Australian Red Cross Fundraising Groups located across the State and provided us with some exciting news regarding the recognition of their members: 

The Australian Red Cross congratulated Monica Wohlstadt for her National Outstanding Service Award at a recent Metropolitan Zone Conference.

Fleurieu Male Choir 1988 - 2018

Interested in Singing? SAcommunity lists 87 Singing groups and 111 Choirs across South Australia. The act of singing brings not only pleasure to the singer (and listener) but a range of health benefits as a social, musical and aerobic activity. SAcommunity was fortunate to hear from the Fleurieu Male Choir about their group and how they use their talents to assist the community around them.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is represented by the colour purple - which denotes wisdom, dignity, idependence and creativity!

Elder abuse is often a hidden problem and includes psychological, financial, social, physical and sexual abuse.

WEAAD is an opportunity to promote action against elder abuse through spreading the message 'there is no excuse for abuse!'

Infoxchange’s Digital Springboard - a national initiative to help people learn digital skills

Infoxchange invites community groups, libraries and councils to join them as partners in the Digital Springboard Project.
 

The national initiative aims to help improve digital skills in the community by delivering face-to-face training to help all Australians attain the digital skills they need to thrive in work and life.
