Welcome Yong Kheng! Yong Kheng Beh joined our SAcommunity Team for her University of Adelaide SET (Sciences, Engineering and Technology) Industry Project for her Masters of Computing and Innovation Semester 1, 2024: 27th February 2024 - 7th June 2024.
She worked on her industry project onsite with SAcommunity at the Connecting Up Office, Infoxchange for 2 days (15 hours) a week with her Industry Project Team members: Violet Zewei You, Jamie Jiemin Zhang and Clover Xinyue Luo.
Welcome Chris!
Chris Baldwin joined our SAcommunity Information Team as a volunteer, beginning with the team this year on the 13 September 2023. He is a recently retired senior Naval Officer who has served in the Royal Australian Navy for 45 years.
He attends for ~4 hours a week onsite at the Connecting Up Office, joining several of our team members in the SAcommunity program with extensive work/life experience: Rex Porter, Flavia, David Webb, Malcolm and Stathis Avramis.
Malcolm's 10 years of loyal service was recognised at the All Staff Town Hall on 2 November 2023. Congratulations!
SAcommunity wanted to highlight our affection for 'the old guard' our experienced and established SAcommunity veterans. People who make up our core team, return regularly each week to volunteer and keep the service running. They assist in decision-making, idea development and implementation, check and create processes, and critically, help our new volunteers and interns find their feet. We felt we were more than overdue to introduce, acknowledge and thank some of our team members.
Navodani Thennakoon joined our Data Analytics Team as a volunteer, whilst she studies her Masters at University, beginning with the team on the 8 August 2023 and continuing throughout 2024. She attends for ~4 hours a week onsite at the Connecting Up Office around her classes.

Our Volunteer Waleed - Personal Biography Waleed is a former student at the University of Adelaide, who had commenced study in the Bachelor of Civil Engineering. He has also worked as a volunteer with Leep, now known as Digital Literacy Foundation, where he helped clients learn to use their technological devices.

Our Volunteer Stathis
Stathis Avramis has volunteered with us since 2 March 2018, bringing with him his extensive qualifications and background in a variety of fields. He has a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Politics, before studying Library and Information Management and then Computing and Information Technology. He has worked in a number of roles including in a bookshop and in a range of work related to computers, IT support and websites.
