Making History 2018: Reimagining the Past

What: Making History 2 1/2 day workshop

Treasure Boxes

Treasure Boxes is a volunteer-run children's charity. The service provides quality donated and pre-loved material goods such as clothes, toys and equipment such as prams and carseats for disadvantaged children and families.
 

The organisation works in conjuction with South Australian support organisations, meeting requests from Maternal and Child Health nurses and local emergency support agencies.
 

Seniors Volleyball - Come and try!

Wanted to give volleyball a try? SAcommunity lists 35 services offering the sport. The Community Information Team had the opportunity to speak to Alan Noble from Seniors Volleyball and discovered that it’s never too late to learn, have fun and stay active.

 

Alan was formerly a Senior Lecturer at UniSA and conducted classes at the Institute for Fitness and Training, starting the Seniors Volleyball group in 1968. The club has now been meeting twice weekly for over 50 years.

Connecting Up staff and volunteers were eager attendees of Infoxchange's Digital Springboard train-the-trainer sessions held in Adelaide.
 
The national initiative aims to improve digital skills by delivering face-to-face training to assist people in the community develop those skills they need to thrive in work and life.
